Short Variable Lance

Does anybody carry any of those short variable lances anymore. I think OSHA or CETA might require wands to be 15 feet long now for safety. Fortunately I'm a corporate officer of my company and OSHA has no jurisdiction over what I use personally.

Espec used to carry them. I'm looking for the dual barrel short 1 ft to 2 ft length variable lance.

Do any of you guys have one in stock? Or anybody have one they want to sell?

You will have to make it. We use a dual lance that is direcly mounted to a trigger gun. entire unit is 14" long. Perfect for getting into tight spots.

I like the idea of a shorter dual lance but the quacks at cet* or osh* would try to stop it from being made or come up with reasons it cannot be sold since they cannot charge to put their stamp on it or make money off it somehow.

Contractors with experience with these professional tools can use them safely and not get hurt but there is always someone out there that does not have a clue and will get hurt and try to sue everyone instead of realizing that they are doing something wrong and blame themself and learn from their mistake and not get hurt again.

Tony I talked to Paul K a couple weeks ago about one of those. He is going to cut me one and re thread the ends for the fittings I want. I need one for some tight spaces I get into on certain Apartments, Townhomes, and even front door areas of homes. I have searched for awhile bit can't find one, best bet is to just cut one.

15 foot long?????????

Apparently one person with 12 ft long arms shot themselves in the eye. Now they all have to be 25ft. It's a safety thing. We should all thank CETA for looking out for us.

Now I have a busy day ahead. I have 8hrs scheduled to change a belt on one of our units. Thanks CETA!

Tony, have you ever tried one of those thingies that pivots on the end of your lance? I have seen one in Home Depot. Also, you know how some of those truck wash guys use a 45 or 90 to get between the trailers parked close together. I really don't understand your exact situation, but these things just popped into mind when reading.

Tony If you want I will make one for you just give me a call and let me know what you want and from what ever manufacture you prefer. Remember ... 'Safety Third'

I made a couple of guns with a 1/4 qd on the end. I have several length pipes that I can swap on the fly or just pop on a presure tip on the gun for really tight spaces. It is not a dual lance but it works with downstreamers.

Sounds like there is some interest in the short dual lance.

Paul, can you make one that will not leak at the side handle in a couple weeks or less? That is the biggest problem with the suttner st54 or st45 whichever it is. I have used them for 8 years, tried the one with the little knob on the side and another brand but they all seem to leak quickly. Maybe a better o-ring of viton or something else?

BEST vp wand VALVE..
is on the General Pump VP wand..
a stainless steel valve, in a stainless steel seat.
..but.. the tubes rust away, so replace then with stainless, in a length of your choice, and voala !

I also like the "PA" VP wands, and they are available with stainless tubes,
but you don't want to over-tighten the stainless valve into the brass seat..
it gets stuck, or you strip threads..
..just be nice to it !

..and I have an 18" version sitting on the shelf..
with stainless tubes..

Cool, thanks.

I hope I am not the only person that has the short life with the dual lance wands, I remember someone else saying the same thing but I don't remember who it was.

With as many as they make every year, I would think that they would make a better or more heavy-duty version for contractors, but then again, maybe I am the only person that it starts leaking after a few weeks or less?
