Sheer Massive Vacuum Power

Can the check valve be purchased at a plumbing supply store? Or is it something special that I would have to order?

Before you buy anything, before you listen to any supplier or salesman, before you lay down any cash, do a lot of research and talk with a lot of people, especially those that already have those types of machines.

There is a lot of overkill out there, a lot of way, way over-priced equipment, a lot that you will never use and will regret buying.

There are many ways to do a job, do it right and do it legally. Don't just take a salesman's advice because first and foremost he is a salesman.

I have bought from many companies out there and there are many options available.

Good luck.

True that!! true that!! Chris.

Power/Pressure washing services is definitely growing at a rapid rate.

Even with some larger landscape/lawn service companies, they are not leaving any exterior maintenance services on the table.

If you want one of those Sirocco system vacuum tanks, I have a 30 gallon tank that I will sell to you really reasonable. I had one with an electric vacuum, and changed out to the steel eagle system. The one I have is just sitting in my yard, and includes the rack, etc. It works okay, but there are better systems out there.

I won't tell you how I feel about the manufacturer of that system.

I am liking the Steel Eagle Fury system. It works for me really well. It is expensive though, and there are a lot of parts of it that I could have done just as well making myself.

Some good information, thanks to all for posting.

I remember seeing fan blades with the spray bars on the swabbe. Anyone familiar with this and what do you think of the idea?

I'm going to have to try it as part of my research and developement program.

Scott, I called yesterday and left you a message. Can you give me a call?

Tom, I did see blades at the bottom of the swabby also, but not sure of its function, would be intrested to fine out what is its design intention and how effective the blades are.

I thought the blades were there to lift the water up and it was vacuumed out the top.

Nigel, I tried to call you a bunch of times. all the circuits were busy. There must have been a big event in your area on tuesday. I forgot to call yesterday and today. I will try to remember to call tomorrow afternoon.

lol, Scott, it was not that big of an event, it only created 1 billion in spending, ABC news said.

Chris, Tom here is another video (will try to post without link). I noticed that this video only uses 4 nozzles instead of 8, the rpm is higher, the added squeegee and a vacuum hose back to trailer. I wonder why? Perhaps to handle a water supply increase.

I also noticed the first video you posted only had pressure supply hose. This video looks like it runs pressure hose inside of vacuum hose like carpet cleaning machines.

The check valve can be purchased from a plumbing supply, I have even seen them at the hardware store. The ones that have worked best for me are the brass body and spring loaded check valve.

That was a good video, thanks.

I like how you can just drive it and clean and not rinse too much, you would still need to cut in at the corners, edges, etc... but the bulk of the rinsing which in most cases takes longer than the cleaning is eliminated.

Just wish they were more affordable so I could get one.

I wonder what fan blades would do. It seems interesting if the blades created the updraft and you just vacuum out the top instead of the sides. Anyone know what happened with that lawsuit with swabby? I think it was over the flocculent contaminant separation.

Chris, I'm with you. Even if you didn't reclaim or filter, eliminating the rinse would be a dream come true.

If you had a fan on the spray bars, that would create an updraft which would reduce the amount of vacuum needed to pull the water up.

From what some of the Pro's out there that really know their stuff, the larger the surface cleaner, the larger the vacuum needed exponentially so if the regular system would do a 24" vacuum surface cleaner, you would almost need 2 vacuum systems for a 36" vacuum surface cleaner.

I don't know much about that stuff but it does make sense because when you do the measurements and pi, the total area gets a lot bigger quickly.

It would be nice if someone out there made a deck that you could just bold up to a riding mower or zero turn mower and connect vacuum or pressure hose and ready to go clean. That would be great!

I think that there is a demand for something like that, unfortunately I am not an engineer and I do not know how to weld.

Got a roots style blower, its a beast! I don't know if I'll need all she's got but its got reserve power to spare. Now to engineer the system...

Sutorbilt mp5, 500 + cfm, 15" mercury, 4" in/out

If anyone has any tips or advice it's appreciated.

I tried to take pictures with other objects for scale.

Wife was thrilled.
Never saw that Tom...

Nice photos
