Safety reminder

Just stating the obvious..... KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE TIP WHEN YOU PULL THE TRIGGER. I stripped some flesh from my index finger today. Nothing serious and I didn't swear in front of the home owner. That short gun I've got is real handy but VERY dangerous. It's only 30" from tip to tail. So far I'm the only one to get hurt with it but I'm also the only one that uses it. I'll try and post a picture here, but it'll be up on Facebook in few minutes on my page. And yes I know how dumb that was.

Oooooohh ! ..and that ripping-of-flesh feeling !
..like getting caught in an abrasive-blade ! ..(so I've heard.)

use Teething Gel to kill the pain ! ..like instantly
no kidding !

the one with 15% benzocane is best.
..and it doubles as a healing-ointment.

I've had some in my tool box (and each vehicle,) since my kid was a baby. :)

ROOOOKIEEEEEEEE...hey at list you can still grill
:rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1:

I tried to make him feel "less alone", and you laugh 'n point !
I'll just have to bring duct-tape to the "safety meeting".

You were very lucky that it was not very hot water, it could have been a lot worse, ask me how I know.

This reminds me of a funnt story. I had an employee a few years ago that put his fingure in front of the gun and told his helper to crank up the machine. Why? Because hes an idiot. He called me crying stating he had to go to the emergency room. He said it just cut his fingure bout 2 cm. I told him to get back to the job, get it done or he was fired. He got the job done. He was fired the next day. He was just one of 45 to come and go in 3 years.

Go to PT State and do a search for burned hand or burned skin off hand. There are pictures there but don't eat before looking at them, it might upset your stomache and don't let children look at the pictures.

I got a hot water/steam burn on my right hand several years ago, just burned for about 1 second but the skin above the wrist came off.

Most of the skin grew back good but one spot on the top of my hand did not heal as good and you can see it from several feet away.

You have to be careful with the hot water, change out the o-rings often, replace worn hoses when doing a lot of hot water work and don't take any chances.

Since safety is a topic here a K7 unloader is a great safety feature. The soft start avoids that sudden burst of power when you pull the trigger. You can never be too safe. I always carried Tyenol with me for hot water burns to reduce the swelling.

I totally agree on the flow-actuated unloaders, especially the K-7.
by the way..
I have beed "harrassing " the manufacturers for 15 years to make us a 4000psi rated 5-8gpm F.A. unloader..
The bean-counters just don't get it.. they think all you understand it "cheap"
