okay give it to me.......... IM a real tree person ..always had a real one always will..... even though it does make a mess there is no-way i would get a fake tree.............

but if you have one thats okay .........

each to there own.....................

my thought is this if I was to have a fake tree then i really do believe Santa would not come to our house.........

About every other year I get a live one . ya know with the roots and all .and when it is time to take it down i plant it somewhere......you got to have your hole dug before hand if you live in the north..........

so whtacha think live or FAKE......

We used to have real ones when the kids were small, then our daughter developes alergies to them so we got a fake tree (blah).

No tree no more.

LIVE TREE! and if you have small kids U must have live tree, like Danno says, Santa don't deliver to homes with fake tree's.

Real or nothing

We always have a real tree every year. I like the way it makes the house smell. I have a question for you do you go buy a real tree or do you go to the hills to get one? Last year was the first time that we bought a real tree at the store. We usally make it a family day and go pick one out and chop it down. I think we will go soon to get one once I get my darn elk. Happy Holidays!!!

Well, this is my third year with an artificial tree.

Have always had a real tree and for the past 20 years up until 3 years ago. They all have been 9-11 feet tall. They were so big, that I had to put the tree stand on a stand 12-14 inches high to put the presents under it so they wouldn't take up the whole floor. I loved that smell.

However, my wife and I saw this artificial tree that was on display. 9ft tall and we thought it was a real tree from 3 feet away. The white lights stay on it, and assembly and disassembly is a dream (three sections to take apart then the limbs fold up). Paid i think $400 bucks for it, but it s absolutely beautifull and well worth the money.

When I was a kid, I remember my mom watching those soaps on TV and they always had the biggest trees ever. I was so impressed. Because of my feeling as a kid, I have made a promise to myself to always a have tree and it had to be the biggest I could get. I have to say, that when kids come over they are in awe when they see these things. Makes me feel good when they look up and up with big eyes and mouth wide open. I'm not very old but I do have two grand kids now who will remember pop-pop's christmas trees.

Most of all though, it's the reason we celebrate Christmas that really counts for me. My family hears this from me every single year.

Have a great holiday!

Roy

even if you tote a fake tree ..........lol........
but remember Santa does not like fake tree's u may get a couple lumps of bituminous (coal) in your stocking.......

where is everybody how come there is always more veiws then there is people posting..... I just dont get it...................

I am one of those cursed people with a fake tree. BUT, in all fairness, I am hardly ever home for Christmas anyway! I don't have kids, and the few years I bought a real tree, my cats went nuts! Ever night I came home it was on it's side missing half of it's ornaments. I finally bought a small 4 ft. tree, fake, and the cats leave it alone!! I buy a couple of real garlands so that the house still smells like I have a real tree, and I don't have to feel guilty about throwing away a real tree every year!!

The one big bonus, is that I do not have to re-string lights again ever year. I leave them on the tree, and only have to add the ornaments!!

By the time I have kids, and or start having Christmas at my house, I might consider the big, beautiful, real tree again.
But 'till then, I'll stick with my fake one!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been out of touch for so long.

I have allergies! Real trees smell great, but there isn't enough Claritin in the world to make it through.

fake trees is a fake CHRISTMAS...........

dont be alarmed im just having a lil fun poking at ya fake lovers..nothing wrong with a F A K E ... tree( he he he)

too bad for your allergies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pity ya when S A N T A comes he is going to laugh @ ya............

Fake. (Although we went real for many years.)

Much easier to find a fake tree with no dead spots.....I never seem to catch the timing for picking the "perfect real tree" always get to pick from the leftovers and have to hide the dead spot in the back.

If you pick too early, tree is dead by Christmas eve. too late, and there is nothing to choose from.

we also have the cat problem. Real trees seem to act like CATNIP !

Santa has always found our house, but Santa is a secondary reason for having CHRISTmas in our house, anyhow.

The Family does have a lot of fun setting up and decorating our FAKE tree. Christmas music, Hot cups of coffee or hot chocolate, Wife and I putting the lights and garland up while the kids stand by the tree with their ornament (for up to an hour) patiently waiting for us to tell them it's time to put up the ornaments. (their so cute). Finally when we give the go ahead for the ornaments, two kids madly scrambling back and forth with ornaments to beautifully decorate their little 1 square foot section of tree.

Then it's off to bed for the kids then Mom and Dad rearrange the ornaments to decorate the rest of the tree.

A magical time for all !!

I am with Nicole. It must be an Arizona thing. If i had a real tree in the house I would have to give up breathing for a month. Sorry, I am not Catholic, so I don't give up things for Lent, or for Christmas.

We had a fake tree for a few years in our apartment........it just made more sense.........i didnt install some of the branches in the rear so I could jam it into the corner a bit........

Since we got a house, we got a real tree last year.

The jury is still out on this year............we're thinking about just putting up the fake one again.

One thing that makes me lean towards the real one is that the local fire company sells trees here, so I'd like to support them........that way when my real tree catches on fire, there's someone to come and put it out!

Just bought a small fake tree. They have these new fiber optic xmas trees that rotate and show different colors all through the branches as it turns, (very striking). It is only 4ft but it can be put in a corner without taking to much room. I can even put it on a table for added height. I hate putting fake trees in the attic in florida dries them out. This one I will be able to fold and keep in a closet. It is in the eighties right now so a real tree will not last long indoors. Might not want to put it away enjoy looking at it in a dark room.
