Quick connect not locking

I ran into a few issues on my last job. The quick connect on the outlet side of my downstreamer would not lock into place. I looked and did not see any debris inside, tried a different hose, the o-ring looked ok, and could not get it to lock. I ended up changing to a spare to finish the job. The qc is only a few months old and has very few hours. Is there a trick to keeping these things going? Could the o-ring be bad even though it appears to be ok?

Just happened to me yesterday! Replaced the O ring and just like new!

Thats goodd to hear. I have spare o-rings and will give it a shot tomorrow.

Thanks a bunch!!!!

Thats it, it will happen again. When Orings go bad that quick they usally have a bir making them wear fast. Vibrations causes the rubber to slice.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their responses. Went home today and replaced the o rings. Good as new now;) I had a gut feeling that's what it was. I would have just tried replacing them but I was up at the hospital the last few days with PWI as my main source of entertainment. My 2nd daughter was born this past wednesday and we brought her home today. Thanks again!!!

Congrats on the newborn!
Now do the right thing and show us a pic.

Here ya go.
