go with percentage, it helps you on smaller jobs and helps the customer on bigger jobs. we usually give 5 or 10% off if you get more than one job done at the same time
I would rather give a free additional service than money but it sounds better if you give a dollar amount rather than a percentage. Many people have no idea what something costs, so if you give them 10 percent off they don't know if it's 10 percent off $100 or 10% off 500.
thanks guys, in the past i've given % off, my new spring door hanger is $ off. first time i've used $ off. i really like the idea of throwing in something extra. i've done it in the past, but never really thought of it as an incentive to close a deal.
Try the added service deal. It doesn't have to be something huge. A lot of times people just want to feel like their getting a good deal. I hate taking money off!
