I bought one of those nozzles from stuttering Bob that sprays a far distance and pulls chemicals. It works great, but I was wondering the concept of it. Does the large initial orfice allow the water to create a vacuum ( venturi principle) pull chems. , then tighten the water stream as it goes through the nozzle creating pressure to spray a far distance?
 
Actually most of the throw you get from these nozzles is from the initial small orifice at the inlet. It makes the water rush into the larger chamber, pulling chemical to help fill the void, then the outlet "tube" refines the stream to keep it tight and straight.

Do you think these nozzles are better than th ex-jet or is there no comparison? I use it to spray chems onto the 2nd story and on roofs.
