New wet vac pump out problem..

Well I used the same vac for years and it died so I bought new wet vac.. I mounted my sump pump as usual and then put my check valve in place and guess what .. the vac is to powerful to let the 1/2 hp sump pump , pump out while the vac is running .. So this tells me the 200.00 Shop Vac is better than the 99.00 home depot vac.. Maybe and maybe not ??? Oh well its not that bad .. If you turn it off for just a second it starts pumping and then you can turn it on and it will continue to pump even with the vac on

Problem solved .. Had a vac leak at the check valve.. Anyhow it works pretty good ,, I used it last night with my little surface cleaner and did some floors .. However the Shop vac is not quite powerful enough to even lift the water from the 12 in surface cleaner.. I do have to say the Mytee surface cleaner works pretty good , but it took a while and my arms are really soar..
