Hello everyone. My name is Rance Tilley. I live in Paducah,KY and we are in the process of starting our own business. Paducah Power Washing is our business name.i am a carpenter by trade and have been laid off since Sept. of 2011. I was in my garage one day trying to figure out how to get off the unemployment train when I started staring at my pressure wash unit . 6GPM and 3000 PSI. So I thought why not. That was 4 months ago. Today I have my business license and insurance. I purchased a hot water unit and I have spent alot of time researching the trade. We are currently doing flat surface clean-up for 3 local restaurants as well as new construction exterior clean-up. We guarantee satisfaction and follow up on that for every job. We want to become a leader in the industry in this region. Eventually we will branch out into other markets. We have high expectations and we want to learn as much as possible to make our business the success I know it can be. It's all about hard work, Honesty and the high standard of moral values bestowed upon myself and my family. We look forward to being a part of this industry and a part of the PW family. Thanks
P.S. : Advice is welcome

Rance Welcome Buddy!!!

The only advice I can give would be to attend as many pressure washing events as possible. You're about to shut down for the winter soon so use that time to get your game plan together for 2013. Target a specific area like concrete cleaning and stick with it. Find another Contractor in your area to use as a Mentor.

Read as many posts here as possible.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks Guy. I've talked to a few contractors here but they act like I'm gonna take their work from them or some blow smoke. So I guess I'll have to rely on guys like yourself. However with my 28 yrs. in the heavy and highway construction industry I have done alot of concrete washing without chemicals. So I do have alot to learn.

Some guys are like that, don't take it personally.

I used to think the same way but have learned that by working together we can all help each other and grow our businesses.

Do you have a website yet? If not I would get on that ASAP.

Welcome Rance. If you need a website and SEO let me know. For the price of hosting I could help you rank in your area and the surrounding areas that you want to target for a number of keyword searches.
Plus I could set you up at a fraction of the cost of getting a website created, handy if you are just starting out.

Best wishes on your new venture! If we can be of any assistance at all, please just let us know.
