Nashville guys! If you need help with your equipment repairs and maint.......

Hey guys I spoke with someone on the phone last night for hours and I have never thought of equipment problems putting me out of business, but it can happen especially with poor planning and many of us power washers are the worst planners on the planet. The best planners are the ones who run this planet so keep in mind how planning can change your life.

Nashville guys can come and see me if you need help. Especially you guys with the big rigs!! :)

Lack of mechanical knowledge will hold you back in this business. Mechanical knowledge and experience is how you know your limits of what you and your equipment can or can't do. You have to know the feel, sounds and normal behavior of your equipment so when somethings goes wrong you will know what is instantly. Many of you will pick this up naturally over time and some just need to pay more attention.

A warranty could ruin you. That's right! If you have an affordable machine and it has an awesome warranty, that's great. Think about this though. Now, you are tied down to taking your equipment in for repairs and this means more down time. I can have mine going by the next day even if I stay up all night. That is my option. You residential guys can slide by, but commercial orders can backup fast in the time it takes the shop to get your part in. Equipment mechanics can become complacent like anyone else and crap happens to your stuff while it is in their care so pick a good mechanic or be one!

One of the smartest quotes I've seen all year.

I keep a stock of spare parts in the vans, unloaders, pressure switches, belts, t-stats, o-rings, ds'ers, hoses, etc. Having a $50.00 part break down can cost you $1000's.

Not knowing how to properly maintain your equipment can also cost you $1000's.........or save you $1000's

Great Post George!
