Local guy electrocuted

A local power washer and long time family friend was electrocuted yesterday while washing.
Not sure of the details behind the incident yet, but the doctors think he'll pull through, although he is all burnt up.
Will update with details soon.

This man has been doing it for about 18 years. It can happen to anybody guys. Be careful out there

So does anyone know what happened. Here in NZ some houses have overhead service line entries on the facia or soffits. I just tsay right away from them. Have had a customer ring asking why I didn't wash round the cabling I just said if they wanted to pay to have the power disconnected while I washed around the wiring I would come bac. Never heard from them after that.

I should know something today and let you guys know

So seems he had one of his guys going up on a man lift between 2 cables, while he was feeding him hose. The guy on the manlift touched the cable with the wand, and it seems to have run down the hose and shocked him and one of his helpers on the ground who was also feeding hose. Guy that touched the cable with the wand is fine. Seems like a crazy way that it worked out, but they're gonna live. He's just having to deal with the healing process as well as dealing with the issues that arise from one of his workers getting shocked as well. I'm hearing all this from a 3rd party and haven't spoken directly to him yet.

Terrible... glad it looks like he will be ok. I never liked working near power lines myself there are times I will reuse to clean areas that are like that.
