"local" competition

haha That is funny. What made you decide to wash full-time? I am trying to work up the testicular fortitude to quit the 9-5 and wash full-time myself.

If your at the point that your "working up..." Then you should just do it. Just sayin

They say have 4-6 months of your living expenses saved up as lack of capital is the largest reason businesses fail.... Then just do it... who could ever question dougs advice, doug is the man

Even though I'm thirty but when I grow up I want to be just like Doug ! Hahahhaha

Back to the thread topic, local competition is not a bad thing at all. I have a few customers that I share with the local competition in a way. They call one of us, if we are too busy they call the other guy. I don't view him as competition, more like backup when I am too busy and the customer needs it done now. I also have 2 other local competition guys sub'in under me right now at another job, we are all making good money so nobody loses. As long as the competition plays by the same rules its all fair in my books.

Just saw these guys in my neighborhood. Nice frog toggs. Hasn't rained in 5 days. Foggy morning. Should have invested in a chem tank. Wonder if there will be Zorro marks!!. View attachment 27567View attachment 27568

Matt, the guy washing is looking down/away from what he's doing. His sidekick is telling him where to point the lance. That's a heck of a system. Makes me wonder why none of us around here didn't come up with it first.

I've got 2 guys here that I sub work to.
The guy I was talking about at the beginning of this thread, isn't one of em.
I only use other "professionals".
