Keep sake items,,

The holidays alway get me thinking about Moms cooking.

Its also reminds me of furniture of old. Keep sakes that are handed down from generation to generation.

I have a lamp that is very cool and always has been a special item as it was my grandmothers.

Anyone have or remember others, My sister got a Grandfathers clock. It goes to the first born female in each generation. Who thinks up these things. I wish my ancestors had written journals.

Unfortunately, during my parents divorce, my father sold everything he thought my mother would want to keep, so I have no family heirlooms. My wife has several pieces of furniture that her great grandfather built. The one I like the most is a three tier table we keep in our living room.
