Just some crazy vacuum thoughts

Tony Shelton

BS Detector, Esquire
Say a guy had a drivable surface cleaner. Rather than having a huge vacuum that has to pull from 200 ft wouldn't it make more sense to make a small, lesser powered vacuum, run it off the power of the surface cleaner and pump out the sludge immediately back to the rig (or to the grass or sewer?)

The power for the vac would not be an issue because you are only picking up from a few feet away before it gets pumped out.

Once it gets You could have your PW hose and the discharge hose tied together coming off the same hose reel if you designed it right.

What do you think?

Great idea Tony, if you ever saw the first Hydrotek vac surface cleaner it was just that. I wish I could find a pic but it is a long gone design. It would be more feasible what you suggested with a drivable model.

There are a few other vac setup that some others are working on.

Somtimes you guys make my head hurt !
I'm your guy, just give me a little time on this one.
Design is on the drawing board !
it will be ready for Summer.

I think the Cyclone LP4500 is designed without a vacuum.

Jerry looking forward to your innovation and the 40" vac SC you promised, no pressure on you ........lol you just have to step it up to 48" now.....lol

Here it is Tony and one better than pics,........... video:

First Gen Hydrotek Vac SC first time I saw it was 2004

Here is second Gen sorry no video

I love PWI, search long and hard enough, you may find lots & lots of info (found it while looking for other stuff).

Thanks to John B post in 2007 he linked a video that hydrotek has not removed from their website pages, but it is no longer has a active link via their current pages.

Jerry, just checking if you have this 40" vacuum surface cleaner in production yet.

If so, what is the cfm's and inches lift needed to run this?

Can you email me some pictures of it?

Thank You.

Funny you should ask..
I had a supplier problem to work out,
but we're ready for final testing in the next week.
I'll report back here then.

It will require our SGV4-23 to go 200-300ft on 2" vac hose..
that's 450cfm, and about 14"Hg lift.

Jerry, would it be possible to have one sent to the Tampa event to show off?
It would be great as I don't think any other company out there has a vacuum surface cleaner that large.

Have you had anyone ask you for a solid, non-moving handle on the vacuum surface cleaners, kind of like on the Big Guy or Steel Eagle so you don't have to hold it up the whole time? Having the handle that does not move can be a benefit, you can move and steer it with one hand and the other holding the hoses to pull them. Just an idea.

It would be a nice option for those that like the non-moving handles.

Me first, if that monster works I want to put it on the ride ons. I use 3 12" staggered now. And the work great but hard to dial in every time.

About $2700.00?
