UD nissan mitsubishi trucks

120k miles is about the break point when rental companies turn them over

they are an excellent value and retail low is about $10k, sometimes you can find them at budget rentals. for example, for less, but most are sold wholesale to dealers ...mark up

the only mechanical issues are hydraulic brakes are expensive if the calipers need replaced and a clutch for manual transmissions is an annual replacement item...

i looked for a long time and could not beat the wholesalers to the bargain yard and decided to buy a new ford e350 diesel cargo van with all the bells and an extended warranty..

now i am setting up a sand blast system to service city parks and one of these trucks will be my choice

note... some of these trucks have transmissions (manual and auto) that are
P T O compatable

Another feature I saw on a box truck were the doors in the side tthat were hinged. A company that services IHOP has a E350 diesel that has 2 skid units mounted 2 ft off the floor over the wheel wells on a 14 ft box. they put hinged doors beside each one and they open the doors when they run the machines with a short exhaust to the outside. The raised mount keeps them off the floor and they store long poles ect under them and they can use a forklift to get them out for service if they need them
