The label on your drivers side door should state the vehicle's capability. Otherwise, contact a Ford dealer.
You will just have to be careful not to carry too much water. Water weighs about 8.34 pounds per gallon. Add to that the weight of the empty trailer, empty tank, power washer, hoses , reels, and don't forget how heavy chemicals can be.
Also, you will most likely need trailer brakes. Mine are electric, which require a brake controller unit to be added to the truck. It cost roughly $100. In my state, you are required to have brakes on every axle of the trailer..........depending on the trailer's weight. Check with a trailer dealer in your state, or the state Dept of Transportation.
Also, be careful to get a hitch that is properly rated for your trailer as well. If you get pulled over, they will check all of these things.
In 2003 I received significant fines for violations on my trailer...........they totalled $604!!! I got them reduced in court. $300 of those fines were for not crossing the safety chains. Lesson learned: never have an employee hook up your trailer..........I think it was the first time I ever didn't double check it myself......I was in a hurry. Figures.
P.S. Welcome to the board! Click on the link above marked "User CP". In there are some options, including a "signature file" where you can fill in your name and company name, so we all know who you are. When you get a little more personal, you tend to get more responses.
