Change the orfice(spelling?) size, when you want to add or decrease pressure and water flow. I mean is it bad for the pump. I run a size 4 right now with a 4000psi 4gpm. I am looking add more pressure with less water. What would you do?

More pressure with less water is bad for the pump. The only way to lower your gpm is to use an adjustable unloader or drop the rpm of your motor - neither being a good practice. The best way to decrease the gpm is to increase the pulley size on the pump.

Why do you want to decrease your gpm? GPM's are your friend!

I guess I was trying to think of a soulution for treating gum spots. After I clean the concrete with my surface cleaner, I go back and treat the gum. But I use so much water when I treat gum. I have a scraper but you have to becareful with that because it could scratch the concrete. I read in a earlier posts. for gum try some good old fashion gasoline. Is that true?

But thanks for those tips. I am not going to play with anything.

Hot water is what you need to remove gum with relative ease. With Hot water the gum just flies off. You don't need 4000psi for gum and becareful with pressure that high because with the wrong tip you could etch the concrete. I use a 3000psi hot water powerwashers with a 15 degree tip(The yellow tip) and about 190 degree water. This is about the best way to do it. Also you always want good gpm's because that helps big time in the cleaning process.

Good Luck

Remember that GAS=EPA! Get caught putting gas on the ground and I would imagine the fine would be very hefty.

Hotwater is the best solution for removing gum.Why is the excess water usage an issue?

Yeah, I don't want that to happen. I will stick to my 15 degree tip and hot water. Thanks Guys

Get the new 10 Degree Nozzle or 5 degree Nozzle for gum removal from Delco ... Works like a charm on my machine.. 3500 psi @ 4gpm at 210 degrees.. I just bought a 10 degree to see what it would do.. I can almost cut concrete.. And it makes for a good safety weapon for those long nights in bad parts of town.

HD80 will remove gum with cold water, but the presssure is needed. Hot is the way to go.

Yeah that will work but the work I am doing are shopping centers and I dont want to use any chemicals that will leave shadow marks. I just want to remove the gum. My surface cleaner works great at removing the stains, Just gum. I will try the 10degree with hot water.

The only thing I hate is that I can clean 1000sqft with my surface cleaner and only use less than 100 gallons of water. but to spot treat 100 sqft that has gum , I use the same amount of water. I found that hoyt water and 15 degree is just fine.

Ok yall I have made the ultimate surface cleaner it is only 16" round and has two 10 degree gum removing nozzles under it. I will get some fotos soon as it is now it does not have a handle on it and no hose or gun control.
I am using the carbide swivel on this one and not the ceramic like the last one..

I have also talked to a sheet metal shop about building the bottoms and handles for me.. out of 1/8 inch stainless steel. and maybe we can sell them.

At 100 % mark up for a 20 inch unit the price would be about $700.00
But hey it's stainless steel.
