Hi,

Can anyone tell me if they have done business with Delco? Were you happy? Are their pw's good? I'm trying to start a business and I would greatly appreciate some advise. Thanks!!!

I have in the past done business with them but find their prices to be on the high end.

Also it depends on just what it is you need, somethings they might be the only source, other things you can get from almost any disturbitor.

That is my opinion only and others will disagree with me. Their rights to do that.

On a positive side Larry will always offer help if you call him and he does know his stuff.

I found Delco to be a good place to buy equipment and there prices are decent also. I bought hose reels,There big guy Surface Cleaner(30"),chemicals and other items off them over the years.

You'll have to shop around for prices on different items that you might need. Envirospec, Northern Tool, Sunbrite, Pressure Washer Zone, and many others have good prices. It depends what your looking for. Even possibly your local Powerwashing Dealer may have good prices also and if they are a little more expensive then most, don't forget if something goes wrong with your equipment they are right there to fix it.

Shop around and do your homework. This is what I call fun Homework.:)

Thanks jon for the reply!

Can you tell me about their pw's?(Hot) Are they good, you know General pumps and stuff like that?

I agree that their prices are sometimes higher then others.........but so are mine! They're service is good.

I have two of their washers............and they have been good to me.

Thank too John for your reply!

Can you tell me if they sell good pw's(hot) too. Also, what do you think about general pumps? what would you recommend? Oh, one more thing, have you ever tried their chemicals like dsr 49, or any clean- crete? Thanks for the reply!!!

Rhett,
Mike Hughes has two of there hot water PW's and he likes them so he would be the one to talk to about that. I never bought a PW off them.

As far as chemicals go I only bought there concrete cleaner(Can't remember the #) and it worked pretty good. I used it on brick with good results.

As far as pumps go Cat seems to be the top of the line. A better person to ask would be The Wiz.

Go into "Ask the Wiz" forum and post your question about pumps.

As far as Powerwashers go if your looking for hot water I like Landa the best but you will pay a little more for a machine like this. Everyone has there own opinions about which Powerwasher they like the best.

The cheapest place(Doesn't always mean the best place) that I know of to get a Hot water Powerwasher with the magic #'s of 3000psi @ 5gpm would be Envirospec and then Delco.

Good Luck

ron p

its going to be hard to beat the COBRA SKID at $3200 that ENVRIO SPEC is selling
5gpm 3000psi 16hp hotwater 12v burner belt drive
it looks to be put together very well.
its made by the same mfg. of lots of the big names so we will see what the comp. comes up with to compete.:p

I have never bought a pressure washer from them but many have and had good luck with them. I would suggest finding out just which unit your looking at then ask about that one.

My suggestion would to always give your local dealer first crack at service and sales but that does not mean you have to buy from him, only if his prices are in line with others OR for some reason you feel you would rather deal locally.

As the others have stated there are many good companies out there to deal with.

What I would ask before buying from any of them.

Shipping cost, is it true cost or inflated, some do inflate that cost pretty high.

Warranty, how long, who pays to ship item back to them or to the factory? Or do they allow local dealer to repair and pay for it?

How long a wait for replacement or repair, there is one company that takes months to authorize repairs to be done. Others are right on it.

When ordering is there a dollar amount you must order?

Again how about free shipping if over a certain amount of money

I have a Tuff skid mounted unit. Wish I would have done a little more research, and found this web site before buying it. Blower motor went down, dirt in some of the lines(clogged up- no pressure), some electrical problems. Machine is only 5 months old!! From what it sounds like, and from ready these sites. Landa does seem to be the way to go. Sometimes it`s worth spending the couple extra bucks. Saves you time & $$$$$ in the long run.
