I can't afford a new one at this time.

If you ask real nice i do believe the hot water wizard has plans for a homemade one...

Those plans look like it does a good job. Has anyone ever thought about building one like that one and mounting it to the bottom of an old lawn mower deck? Does anyone think it would or would not work?

As I always do when I see credit going to the wrong person the plans for the one you can build belong to Rick of ProWash in Texas.

He has given John permission to use it ONLY IF CREDIT was given to Rick and that is not being done.

Rick gladly shares his plans.

Email him and ask for them and you shall get copies.

Had the file for so long I forgot who sent it to me. My appologys the problem has been fixed!

I have used a surface cleaner made from those plans...........it worked pretty well! It belongs to a friend of mine.

Lenny,
The plans for Richard Craigs surface cleaner are now his third generation design I beleive. They do work and work well. The most expensive part is the swivel. I beleive it is the $200.-300. range. It is a high grade though and is fitted with a grease zerk which should yeild long life.

I looked at using a mower deck myself but discounted that idea. Most decks dont have the complete circular shroud around the bottom side. You need this and must complete the shroud for effectivness. The only one that I thought would be close to working was an aluminum side discharge Lawn Boy. Another problem is the when removing the engine you end up with a hole approximately 8" wide. The engines are also usually raise slightly above the rest of the deck. With all the modifications needed I would just use the 55 gallon drum bottom. The only possible mod I might make would be to spray under coating on the bottom side as a rust prevenative.

Sorry for the long response!
