Hydrotek Trailer

If you are buying it just for tha machine I would keep looking. The trailer is almost useless for anything other than what it was built for, yoyu cant haul anything on it unles you buils a deck on it.The tank and frame are worth maybe 200 bucks depending on how thick the walls on the tank are.So I put the trailer and tank worth maybe 500 bucks. Is the machine worth 3k?,2.5K?Not to me.

It is undersized and used.Keep looking.Unless the guy REALLY,needs to get rid of it.

A guy is wanting to sell me his Hydrotek pressure washing trailer. its factory from hydrotek. 16hp vanguard, 3200 psi 4.5gpm on a tandem axle trailer. unit has 1,270 hours which is what concerns me. oil is clean though and the machine looks like it has been very well taken care of. Wanted to get anyones input on what this unit should sell for? Thanks!
Hey Mark-- I had that Hydrotek set up for about 2 yrs. I sold it for $3000 It had aprox 800hrs at most. Here's the link.

I liked that Hydrotek trailer but I was graduating up to a bigger Power washer then. That Hydrotek trailer was perfect for when I use to do aprox 17 best buy stores a month. Since you should have hose reels behind that tank, the engine has those hours I wouldn't pay more then $3000-$3500 at most.

The only problem I had with that setup was that the Hydrotek PW was a 12v burner set-up and sometimes it didn't work correctly because the battery even though was new it did stay at optimum charge all the time causing the burner to not work correctly even though the machine started up every time. So what I did was always have a spare battery fully charged when I traveled.
All in all it worked good for me for what I used it for.

Thanks Clean County! It's good to have opinions from people with personal experience with a similar set up. I'll propably call the guy and see just how bad he's wanting to sell it. Thanks guys!

I know the upgrade solving the heater problem..
..work trouble free for about $100.

with the 16hp, and 12 volt heater and a better pump, you can have 5gpm@ 4000 psi.

especially if it has the 18" heater, you're good !

I have 2 of those skids I bought used. Mine say 3400 psi and 4.6 gpm but the same thing I'm sure. Paid $1,000 each and it included 3 hose reels and 400 feet of hp hose. One had 700 and one had 900 hrs. They have been good machines for 2 years. One of the cat pumps started feeling a little rough so I ordered a 5.6gpm general pump, and the mounting bracket from hydrotek. The cat pump is now a spare for the other machine. If I have any engine trouble I will just buy a brand new 21hp motor. U can buy them new with the 5.6 pump and 21 hp motor. http://www.hydrotek.us/brochures/SS-Series-pressure-washer-Brochure.pdf

Bought em from a used car lot going out of business. He had bought a couple of repo'ed vans at an auction, not even knowing these were in them. He sold the vans and kept the skids for washing cars on the lot untill he went under. While I was there I got a couple sets of snow tires and some tools for next to nothing.
