Hunting season

Been archery elk hunting her in in MT. Season has been odd very few bulls get excited enough to come in. Makes it hard to find them. Rifle season opens on the 26th and goes through Nov 30.

Wow.....Kalispell, great town!!! I've been up there to visit with Montana Log Homes, believe it is just south of Kspell on Hwy.93. Incredible area! Funny---when I was there a few years ago it was around 100deg!!:)

Wierd how you guys's seasons run down there Tim. Heck, our rut doesn't even start here until the first week of November.....bet you guys are a couple weeks behind that. Where you are Tim, do you guys just have those micro-deer? You have bears in your area?? Just found that out the other day, Florida has bears. Never would have imagined that.

I still have to wait one more week for black powder down here. I wish our season started in August like South Carolina!!! There is a good black bear population in Florida. I had one in my back yard about a year ago. I know there are a ton of them in Ocala and they have some kind of mange. I have had many of them walk right under my treestand and I have also walked up on a bunch of them. It is common to see them during the day on the side of the road as well. All of this is in the WMA of course.

Been glassing a few good ones on my ground. I don't go bow hunting until the skeeters are gone after the first freeze which is pretty soon. Nov 15th firearms starts. All deer closes Jan 4th. After that we coyote hunt.

I live in Tallahassee, Florida. I hunt in South & Central Georgia because the "micro-deer" are bigger up there. Deer in the 170's have been taken off our lease, a 176 2yrs ago. Average shooter up there is 140 class. Rut in Montezuma is about the same as you, first/second week of Nov.

1st buck of the season. 220lb 9pt 18" inside and scored 133.
