How many years have you been in Business as a Pressure Washer ?

I've been pressure washing since 2003.
 
I'm starting my 3rd year.
With the labor for learning I've done, RT's I've attended and
1400 plus hours of online study and numerous phone calls
I've made over the last 3 yrs, I'll feel like I should've
voted 7 to 9. LOL

This is our 22nd year!
 
Started in 1989 with ten thousand in bank. In 1992, had twenty bucks in bank, a full tank of gas and rent was due in 2 weeks. Did my first garage (125,000 sq ft) for $5,000 @ .04 a ft and never looked back.

That same garage we do now every quarter at a 5 yr contractual discount price of .145 sq ft. with a price increase of 3% for inflation per year ( About $540 )and $700 when gas increases every .50 a gallon. Price is also reduced if gas drops by .50 for the same amount with a limit ( Ground Level ) pricing of 3.00 a gallon. There is no high limit. example $4.50, $5.00, $5.50 etc.
 
Worked in Vermont for 5yrs sold company and moved to Florida (per wifes orders) 5yrs ago, last year I decided to start up again. Its a lot harder then I had planned starting out with no customer base working hard to make money in any area of pressure washing right now. Also still having to work full time job as Shop Forman for Toyota Dealership sometimesI wonder:rolleyes: dh
 
Benn Steam Cleaning Hoods and inspecting fire equipment since 1989. But opened B&R up about 6 years ago..Also in the past I helped 2 other companies get statred and have tried Just about every type of pressure washing there is.. I still do alot of work with a buddy of mine that helped him get into the pressure washing business... But when I started B&R 6 years ago I had 15 accounts and $6000.00 in the bank... Thats it.. NOW We have 137 accounts and a comfortable amount in the bank..
 
Started less than a year ago, but have been reading posts and researching for over a year. I also had to pressure wash a couple times a year in a former career as a ski lift mechanic.
