I will be taking it up to my brothers shop to do some more testing, his floor has a rougher texture like a parking garage. I will post video when I get it done.
For those of you that missed Paul's event in Milwaukee, we got to see the new 40" vacuum surface cleaner deck attached to the mower.
This thing can clean at a good speed and pick up the water. We got to try out lots of different vacuum tools that Jerry sells and see how different brands of vacuum surface cleaners compare to each other in side to side tests.
This was a great event and I think that they had some video, it will probably be posted soon so everyone can see this new cool surface cleaner.
Thanks Paul.
John, this 40" deck is propelled by the pressure in the spray bars like the 21" Sirocco surface cleaner.
The deck was mounted to a mower that had a platform that you stand on but was a Zero-turn but you can lift up the standing platform and lock it out of the way if you just want to walk behind it.
The system was efficient in vacuuming the wash water but needs 400cfm minimum according to Jerry as it is a large deck.
Most of us think similar and would get a lot larger system for rougher concrete like 450 or 500cfm because with more cfm you can move even faster and use it on very rough concrete even though you will lose some vacuum seal but will compensate for it with a lot more cfm.
There was some video taken but the guys will post it when they can, there is video with Ron riding the machine and cleaning Paul's shop floor.
Paul has such a huge/cool shop, I think that most of us there got some shop envy. hahahahahaha
You can park probably 6-8 trucks with trailers in there and that was just one half of the shop, you can park the same amout in the other side.
I agree about the belt turning the spray bars faster so more pressure hits the ground but this deck was doing a good job the way it was.
With this deck/mower you can easily clean large areas of concrete a lot faster and with less fatigue than 2 guys with 21" vacuum surface cleaners walking.
I think that this deck and a large cfm vacuum system will change how a lot of contractors clean large areas of concrete, just have to deal with all that sludge/dirt that comes with cleaning large areas of concrete.
I think that this system will allow a lot of contractors to pursue larger accounts than they were used to going after and I think that the new system will pay for itself quickly.
