hot box change over?

Russ, can you change a 115v hot box over to dc? i have an old hot box that works fine, but i don't use it much because its inconvient to plug it in. thanks in advance

You would have to change out the pump and fan to a 12v one. It wouldn,t be worth it.

You can replace the whole burner assembly. Unless it's a small frame 115 volt, the 12 volt components won't fit.

thanks everyone. i've been checking out honda invertors, at 1/4 power, 1 gal of gas lasts 14 hrs.

Mark, why not get a small generator to run it?

I think that most of the ac rigs have generators that make around 2000 watts so that might be all you need to use the one you have.

Not sure of the price but you can get the 5000 watt generators for around $600 all the time at Sam's club so the smaller ones should be around $300.
