Hood Cleaning Standards being discussed !!

IKECA must consider and respond to any comment it receives during the public comment period. Once all comments have been addressed and resolved, IKECA can submit its standard to ANSI for final approval as an American National Standard. If no one comments, IKECA can immediately request that ANSI approve the standard. The comment period closes on February 21 – less than three weeks from today.

I recommend that every company in the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry review the standard and comment to IKECA. Once this standard is approved by ANSI, like NFPA 96 it may begin appearing in AHJ requirements, municipal code, etc. This standard may have an impact on every kitchen exhaust cleaning company nation-wide.

Your links are for the ANSI Newsletter not the IKECA document.
The actual document is clearly marked "Do not cite or Quote-Do Not Redistribute Unless authorized by IKECA"
