Help finding rebuild kit for old Comet pump

I recently inherited (was traded for some work) an Old skid unit. 16 HP briggs Vanguard with a Comet Pump. The comet pump needs rebuilding on the head side; ie Pistons, packing, valves etc. Problem is I can't find a place to buy the rebuild kit. I've rebuilt a Admiral Pump in the past and it's still working after 8 years, so I know how to do it, I just need the parts. Can someone direct me. I'll try to post a pic of the pump if I can figure it out. It shows Model 55 on top, numbers 105146 on casing, Japan (go figure) 6940533 on side and some other numbers. Thanks in advance

Disregard the pic of the old hair clippers. I don't know how that ended up there LOL

Thanks Greg, Well now that you've cleared that up (I've mistakenly refered to the CAT pump and a Comet) can you answer my question or is it easier to point put errors.

Hey there OldTimer,I imagine Greg was trying to help. If he was just trying to point out errors, he probably would have commented on your spelling and lack of manners as well.

I appolgize to all (yes for typing errors too!!!) I've been real grumpy the last few weeks. Had knee surgery 3 weeks ago. Got 3 more weeks to recover before Doctor releases me and I'm stir crazy. To explain further, I've also been dealing with a Comet pump, so I got the two confused. The one in the pic is pretty obviously a CAT. Thanks for the input and again, I'm sorry if I came off wrong. This is a great group and have always been supportive of me. Merry CHRISTmas to all.

I can get all the parts you need for it. Pull the head off and check the pistons for cracks. I'll warn you now, Cat parts are very expensive, so only put pistons in if it needs them. You'll also need a special tool to remove the seal retainers. I have one that I'm happy to loan out (with a $50 deposit). You'll just have to pay shipping both ways.
