Just wondering who has the best system for cleaning gutters, inside and out?

There is a video floating around somewhere, of a big vacuum with a boom and a 90 degree tip, that is used to suck all the leaved and debris out of the gutters very quickly Gene knows more about it.

I clean out gutters by hand with a tool that looks like a spoon that will thread onto the end of a painter's pole so you get more reach and not have to move the ladder so much. Here is a link to them:

There is a guy here that bought one of those gutter vac systems. Sucker born every minute. I saw him trying to use it and went over and talked to him. He hates it. Walk the roof and blow them out or move the ladder and scoop them out by hand.

I'm not much of a believer of the vac thing myself. The little scoop that screws on a pole looks like a time saver.

That gutter scoop thing works great, not too big that it will not fit into the gutters but is big enough that you will move a lot of debris. They are strong too, not very fragile or break easily.

I have used mine on a lot of rain gutters and I am glad that I bought them, sure is easier to use and a lot less moving the ladder. Great when you have trees near the gutters and can't access the gutters too easily from the roof.

to me it is hard to really clean a gutter unless you can see what is in it. i have found baseballs, tennis balls, a dead squirrel, and a frog to name a few surprises. my hands have been the best tool so far but i like the looks of the spoon idea also. gonna have to try that now.

Using an 8' step ladder, a 12' long extendable painter's pole, bucket with hook, and that spoon gutter cleaner, you can clean a lot of a side of the house's gutters without moving the ladder.

If you have 2 guys doing this then you can knock out the worst house in no time and not make a huge mess. Dump the bucket full of debris into their trash can, if it is all wet then put small trash bags into the bucket first then they empty out quick and clean.
