Garden Hoses 101- Get the MEAN GREEN NOW

I buy commercial 3/4" hose from a commercial hose supplier, it cost about $1.60 per foot but it lasts longer than anything I have found, it looks similar to what Tom posted, similar pressure ratings but it lasts a long time with tractor trailers driving over it daily, the hose on my electric hannay hose reel has been on there for over 6 years now, just have to change out the gasket every once in a while as they tear with threading the hose onto hose bibs.

I get about 3 months out of the same hose when I am washing a fleet across from their office and the hose crosses a busy road where hundreds of tractor trailers and other vehicles drive over it daily, the customer pays for it since there is no water there on their storage yard.

3/4 and it has outlasted everything so many times over I still can't believe it. I think PVC is supposed to be the low end for hose and not good low temp but it has really worked for me. 20% off on 300 ft.

Yeah Jeff I know what you mean I've been dragging that ole craftsman junk over gravel parking lots, letting the big rigs run it over etc it's been on the Titan about six years so please be easy on the money making saving time rants etc.Do you have a hose that's lasted 6 years?

Wish you would have said that in the first place, my intention was to help everyone. I apologize if it was not seen that way or I came off wrong Hal. After leaving multiple jobs in less than a month due to hose failures it was just on my mind.

I may be wrong....... But isn't the Craftsman hose covered by its lifetime warranty? There are more Sears locations here than Tractor supplies, Norther Tool etc.... Albeit.....IDK how many years before thats not the case. Seem like sears would be easier for a warranty exchange. Obviously Hal....your testament to longevity of the hose goes a long way!

The hal issue was a misunderstanding. He didn't say he has been using it successfully for years with no issues otherwise I would have never commented. My statement actually had nothing to do with hals hose and more to do with warranties. Warranties are nice, i love them. But my tractor supply hose had a lifetime warranty and it broke in under a week. I could exchange that forever and never have to buy a new hose but having to go to the location for the exchange wouldn't be cost affective.

Again Hal, sorry I am came off wrong and thanks for giving us an insight on a hose that has worked great for you.

3/4" mean green baby!!!

I have had 200' of the kuriyama on my hose reel for two years now and its still in great shape, hose reel is shot though. lol

You really think home depot sells real commercial grade hoses? You must also think they sell real commercial grade pressure washers.

Local hose place sells rubber 3/4 inch hose, I don't use it much as I carry 1500g of water, but I have had it for years and never had to replace it, cost is $.80 ft. Home depot is good for in a pinch or building supplies.

We ordered hose called Gator Hyde from the same company. Seems very light and tuff stuff.
