Fun Garage to Wash

We started this on wednesday afternoon, 7 stories, garage is open and traffic is flowing in and out heavily. The only option was to wand it. I have been cussed out several times, had a Doctor scream at me for getting his LX470 dirty and numerous complaints. Needless to say were still washing, and rolling right along.

How does one go about spraying this with Chlorine and not get it everywhere?

The building next to this and across the street well use dedicated pumps for that but this one is just about impossible to do with chlorine IMO. I have even thought about using painters plastic to cover all open areas throughout the garage but that alone would take a week for prepwork. All it would take is a fine mist to get all over patients and doctors and all Hell would break loose. The building next to this one is not open on the weekends but the garage is used for employee parking for the hospital across the street and is never empty.

Can you do it from the inside? Have a truck and someone walking between the cars to spray down, and up from the openings? Also, post that you are in the garage cleaning, and do one side at a time, so post saying something like, "XXX will be washing the North side of the parking garage on x, x, and x. Please park on the south side" Then do it for the other side. At least that way, you will have given them appropriate warnings.

Not a bad idea, well see if we can get that approved on the one across the street when it comes up later this summer.

Just put a tarp on the inside of garage opening. Make it out of 2x4's and make a picture frame with wheels, then hang the tarp on it. Just slide from the inside of the opening to the next as you go. It will take an extra man, but you will not need to worry about paint, electrical or customers.

Got this from that other guy who did garages.
