Fuel nozzle in burner

Quick question for the equipment expert. Do manufacturers of hot water skids use different size fuel nozzles based on gpm of the unit being manufacturered? I've upsized a pump and dont seem to have the same heat rise. Any idea what size a 12 volt 5.6gpm should use?

Joe i put that pump that I bought from you on my Hotsy and its HOT now.. It wasnt hot with the 2021 it was just warm.

Of course the heat will be lower. With more water moving through the coil, the more heat you need to make it hot. You'd probably need a 2.5 gph fuel nozzle.

So is that the only difference between a 6gpm burner and an 8gpm burner? The fuel nozzles?

No, usually the coil in a larger gpm rated burner is larger (more total length in the coil) and usually the fuel nozzle will also be larger.

Fuel pump for remote-feeding an engine

No problem,
just use a fuel pump to deliver the fuel,
if the tank is Not gravity-feeding the motor.
Subaru has a cute little 12vdc pump that doesn't draw much power,
but a "smart-guy" at a lawnmower shop can put a generic pulse-pump on,
connect it to the crank-case for power,
and keep ALL your charging system for that 12volt burner. :)

We talked a customer through putting one on a small diesel a while back..
It has worked flawlessly, but the customer was in a rush when he installed it,
and didn't use UV fuel line for the fuel lines.
At least he let me take pictures of it. Eh?

That looks like what I'd like to do, but I'd definately need to find a "smart guy" to do it... the 12 volt would be ok for this machine, its an electric start motor with its own seperate battery, need to see about the regulator though, these hondas like to flood as it is so I can see how that might be an issue. TY all
