foaming with a delavan

It is not hard to do but you will not be able to shoot the foam very far, maybe 10'-15' so it is kind of restrictive in what you want to do.

For good foam, you will need an air compressor and foamer nozzle or foam attachment.

I made my Bandit roller pump shoot foam but it only shot 15' so it was not too much use for me.

What is your purpose for foaming? Just wondering.

You can buy foam machines that will spray further if that is what you need.

I am trying to get a longer dwell time using a Simix product for roof cleaning. I already walk the roof, so the distance is not the problem. I need to know if I can send the product through the Delavan into a foaming lance or a foaming cannon. I have a foaming cannon already. I am just not sure if it will work. I am trying not to carry a bucket on the roof.

Already been there, tried that.

With the foaming machines you only have about 20' to 35' of hose but does not work too good going up, meant to spray from the ground.

Another option is a foamer attachment for your delavan so you need a high cfm air compressor so now you are taking up an air hose up onto the roof besides the delavan hose.

Not tripping over the regular roof cleaning hose is one thing, having 2 hoses up there is going to be a lot more trouble and a recipe for disaster.

If you have a lot of experience with roofs then this might not be a problem but adding foam to the mix will be another chemical fighting the bleach (weakening it) so with adding one thing for a benefit you are decreasing the cleaning strength of the chemical to a point.

I have tried it with a few different mixtures and it is just a whole lot faster with the regular roof mix, Keep It Simple, and get the job done and leave with the check.

Have you considered trying a different roof mix? Most of the roofs we do can't be walked. Plus you don't have as much potential for the customer thinking you caused a leak at a later time.
