Foamer plans

There are no foamer plans guys that I am aware of. Its been a journey of frustration for me searching for the elusive foamer plans...its a closely guarded secret amongst a chosen few greasers whos names we wont mention. We went with a foam on 5 and a lafferty. Expensive but safe.

Gosh !!! Yall c'mon man The way to make a foamer is so easy.. You can take a pump up sprayer and poke a little hole in the siphon tube on the inside of the pump up sprayer bottle add caustic and a surfacante and you got it.. If you want to do it real good get a stainless steel water extinguisher and poke a little hole at the top of the siphon tube inside the extinguisher , fill it with air , caustic and dawn and you have foam...or you could do my latest experiment .. Get a cheap small compressor from harbour freight then run a hose to a downstream injector .. put a tube fron the downstream injector into a 5 gallon bucket full of caustic and dawn , dont forget to poke a little hole in the siphon hose to allow air into the line , this makes foam.. then run the other end of the hose going out of the injector to a 25 foot air hose and put a trigger gun and a nozzle on the end .. You got it .. The trick I have found to good foam is getting the right amount of air to the right amount of chemical t produce good foam..

I have got the plans for 2 of the soda keg foamer. It isnt a great design costly to design it properly in my opinion.Good idea though.but whats funny the few act like it is such a gaurded secret or something and people just bring this foamer issue to light just to see how many hits people get off of it and it is sad.If you dig enough you can find several plans for a foamer heck Eco labs plans are on the net and you can get the plans for the foam it 5 as well.If you are going to mention foaming or what ever then talk serious about it.Now this soda keg foamer like i said is just to dangerous(too much brass) as is but all you add is stainless to it and your ok,but 1 thing to bulky. The fact is all you need is supply(chem) and air which means 2 lines all feeding to the trigger that mixes the air and supply together.Big thing is the regulation of the air to supply which should be about the same in psi or less for the supply then this mix goes through a agitation process(makes the air(bubbles) to chem more which is foam) before it exits the gun, simple. Big thing is how much you want to spend on the supply(chem).:eek:k:

All is made the same just fancy is all.

My opinion your probably better off with liquid cheaper and afer to use foam is okay for the ducts and hoods but all n al liquid is the way to go you just have to have the right mix that keeps it wet longer instead of drying and you got the same thing in a way dwell time is all we are all after isnt it?

I can make a mix to last pretty long and it stays wet (it's active)
How does applying wet become superior to foaming doesn't wet just run off?

If your talking DS'ing then I think your still wrong.

No ds,ing waters down and i dont like it i apply directly and there is a way to thicken your liquid product and keep it from drying like i said isnt dwell time all we all are after?I still play with the foam i just think it is expensive for now to play with compared to what i have but i think i have a way that is cheaper maybe in the form of foam, gel,or liquid to apply the product we will see only time will tell.Heck i may be wrong.

Well a dependable foamer can be made for under $100 :big_boss:

I can give you obscene dwell time :victory:

Foam is just another tool there are various ways to get there.

man this is funny i mention some things you GP like getting into and within minutes boom here they come.Just to let you GP member know i was giving a piece of your own meds.Just messing with you all anyways have a nice night gotta go to work.

Foam isnt so secret it is just treated that way cause some think some of these newbes are dumb or something foam is simple and basic and easy to make like lou says just they like the messins with the minds.lol.
Marko

Yes i believe everything is possible lou anything can be made and improved but ds,ing is just no interest to me i like the direct source.Remember all this is a information bbs designed to help and inform not to play games with yes i was playing a little but just had to prove a point. There is a section on the bbs where you can let loose to play an i think thats where it should be.Just my 2 cents.Yes some think it is such a secret but all you have to do is know the brand of a foamer you are interested in and look at there patent plans and there you go.Google what would we do with out it.lol.

I'n not a hood guy....Why are folks so seceretive about foam?
Like what was stated by others here, foaming and foamer science is no secret. The reason every body got quiet and hush hush about it is because people were taking short cut with certain things and having accidents. Then they were calling these item a POS and people didn't know what they were talking about. So it all boils down to CYA and liability.

Do you want to give plans and directions to some one? have them take a short cut to save 30 bucks on fittings and then have a failure? How would you like a hose whipping around spewing SH all over the place. Any where from 30 psi to 80 psi like some guys do. And yea. done right, the GP 5000 KICKS ARSE :dance3:
