Fleet Washing Questions

Hello all,

I Currently do mobile auto detailing and I and now some on my customers want me to do fleet washing. I am looking to add this service.

What chemicals should I be using?
Is just spray on/wash off the typical way to do things? (meaning not using brushes and wash mitts)
What should I be careful of?

I will be washing in cold weather here in NJ. Is there anything I can to prevent water from freezing beside what was posted in the "winter washing post"? Is there a de-icer product or carwash anti-freeze available?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Dan

Where in NJ are you?
There is what is called a "round table meeting" a bunch of contractors get together to talk shop. There is one this month.
You should go. You will prob learn more in that one day then you can from anywhere else.
There are meny ways to wash a truck.
What equipment do you have?
Hot water is best.
What type of trucks?

Hey The round table sounds great. What time does it start?

I am in Hillsborough NJ. That between Bridgewater and Princeton.
With my current set up I have a Van, trailer, 2x125 gallon water tanks, 2000 psi electric pressure washer, generator, compressor and tons of Auto Detailing equipment/supplies.

Most of the request I am getting are for vans and straight/box trucks.

If I am going to go this route and add fleet washing to my Business model then I am going in all the way. I know I am going to have to add a Hot Water Pressure washer and I am going to have to learn all the tips and tricks.

Thank You Guys! I hope to see you at the round table

It is under Rountable Meetings if you do a search.

From your area I would think 295 south to the Mt Laurel exits or jump off of 295 to 206 S to Rt. 70 W and you are there. If you need more info just give a call 1-866-440-3325. Hope to see you there
