Fire Hydrant

You have to get a meter from every municipal water supply you use.

If you need hose you might go by your local fire station and get used hose for free. If a hose fails the yearly pressure test it get tossed....

I'm not sure where I got it - and I've never used it - but I have a cap with a garden hose adapter. It would take longer to fill, but it would work. Not sure where you can get one, but they do exist.

Industrial plumbing supply or fire suppression/sprinkler supply. I have fittings with a T that I get 3 garden hose connections. I have ball valves on each or I can just cap off what I don't need. I usually use one to feed the tank and the other two have 200' of supply hose with hose nozzle on the end for rinsing. I can rinse up to 3 stories with each.

Most Fire Departments now are sending there old house out to an auction these days. They dont just throw it away anymore like years ago.

I thought he was asking the correct way to do it. Everyone knows that there are easier ways to do it.

They should be thanking us for flushing out the hydrants :thumbup2:

We flush one here every monday morning and it always has rust in it.
