Fabric awning cleaning

I will be washing these awnings tommorow. I have read all the threads about cleaning them. Just want to know if anyone had suggestions, comments or tips to get these to sparkle. The material is fabric, can you use hot water? Will the letters be ok using 12%? Its very dirty with lots of mildew.

I had a 2 story House Wash that I did this week on the beach and every window had canvas awnings. They were blue with white trim. The white trim had turned Green with Mold. I used a strong solution of 12% with lots of Dawn and DS'ed them. I had to reaply a couple of times and then gave them a good rinse with fresh water. They came out great! No,, I didn't take any pics. I knew I should have.

Good idea...Thats always a natural feeling whenever I clean awnings too. I just have the bad habit of yelling out Yeeehaaaw and jumping right in. LOL... Been Lucky so far!

I have had success rinsing from the underneath when possible. Helps drive the dirt out the way it came and leaves less wand tracks.

Go to www.awningcleaning.com You need to be careful not to use pressure on the fabric. I have cleaned a bunch and I use my soap tip to downstream and to rinse. Be careful not to use to strong of bleach. Use mild soap also

I cleaned some 2 days ago with the regular housewash mix and rinsed with the m5 xjet they looked good afterwards.
