Guys sorry i haven't posted anything in forever. i recently got married and have been extremely busy.

I have 2 commercial buildings and they want me to wash the exterior of the buildings
the first building is 500 feet long 300 ft wide and 20 ft tall
the second building is 550 ft long 350 ft wide and 20 ft tall

I will not need to rent a lift or use any chemicles or hot water. I have 2 4gpm pressure washer how much would you estimate to wash this building.any input would help. thanks.

I did a precast building earlier this year that they wanted form oil off of for painting. And they only wanted hot water used on it.

Hey Pivster,
What kind of buildings (surfaces?) Are you using X-Jet? How long will it take?
our industry supports $75-$150 / hr.

hey congratulations!;)
I just wanted to know what kind of equipment you're gonna use if you don't use any lift, are you gonna use a telescopic wand?

We use a pretty simple formula. Add the linear feet and charge a buck a foot per story. A single story building that measures 700 linear feet = $700. A two story building that measures 700 linear feet = 700' @ $2.00/ft = $1400. Raise prices accordingly but using linear feet for buildings and square feet for concrete is the only way to stay consistant.

no chems because they are only dusty and have cobb webs on them. And yes I will be using a tele- wand. I think it will take about 8 hours with 2 machines and 2 guys. I think I got a price idea thanks.

Tele-wands suck. We charge by the linear foot, NOT by the hour.

IF you get better at your job, then you make less money ( your faster )....hmm that makes no sense.

Use chems!!! that dust will lift off better and its a must for cobwebs. I've tried no chems on webs a long time ago and then I used chems, it helps a ton to get them to lift off and roll on down

Screw the tele wand, get an Xjet, its only 20 ft high. at most I would do is add an extension to your gun & wand

Just trying to help

hey Russ i like that answer, just do it,lol. your right, but i think ill skip the school buses, to many windows to screw up. and i never done fleets.

Why not use any chems, it would clean faster

A little dust and cob webs is easily done with hot water out here. Why waste chems if they are not needed. Biggest problem with webs is knowing to use low pressure to rinse them away vs blasting them all over the place.

Russ, seems like you tried buses 10 years ago and never again, but Jeff seems to think an extension pole. Which is it, buses or extenion poles never again?

I like my coress, it is 18 feet and does a fine job. I also use large orifice 0° nozzles for extra reach.

X-Jet sounds like a good idea. How high can you reach with an x-jet
