This is what I found this morning in the dumpster area on one of our 15 day accounts.It's becoming a regular problem when they pump the grease vat.
I didn't charge the customer to take care of it this time,but this is the 3rd account this month that has cost me and extra 45 minutes to an hour on site.
What I have in mind is charging the customer and having them back charge the waste haulers.

Sounds fair. Back charging usually gets a supervisor out there to see whats going on. Most the time it's the employees dumping it in.

Why not take it as an average, little more some months little less other months, making a big deal after just a few months........why stir the pot, better to fly under the radar, or if you must make mention of it, try to do it very subtly, a brief mention, not an all out complaint. Getting a third party involved can sometimes backfire, grease company's love to kiss ass and just might take over back dock cleaning all together as a freebie. Back charging is more hastle for the GM, and too many hassles they just say forget about it all together, cause there is probably a dishwasher/waiter or who ever that is just dying to get your job for some extra $$. So all I am saying is that it can be a slippery slope with this kind of deal.

Usually I would agee,but this tank was empty this morning and the lid left off.So I have no doubt it was the waste company.

I haven't mentioned it yet to this franchisee,but the 2 earlier in the month I mentioned in passing to the other customer.That owner has already given the go ahead to charge them so they can charge back the waste company.
I don't like charging extra,but this is becoming a regular thing.An extra hour on a job throw my schedule for other stops off.Most of these places open at 10:30 or 11 and I need to be off site before then.
