Ever heard of this???

A-OK Pressure

A-ok Pressure Washing
My friend calls me up and tells me he is going into the roof cleaning business. I said oh really! He tells me he found this company on Cape Cod that make a roof cleaning solution out of hydrogen peroxide and that it is 100% green! It won't harm plants or anything.

Have any of you ever heard of this company?

He continued to tell me that he had a 55 gallon drum and a trash pump he would connect garden hose to so he could spray the roof, and he purchased special nozzles from them that they made to rinse the roof with his Dewalt 4000psi machine. I almost forgot to mention the 70 feet of hose he has! Then he told me if I needed any help or got behind he would be happy to help me out.
I just listened to him on the phone and had to laugh!

Are THESE the special nozzles?

I caught these guys on you-tube doing a video showing roof washing. It seemed so wrong to me when I was watching, but I am too new to be critical. BUT--when they pulled a pressure washing wand up on the roof to clean the residue off left behind by the Hydogen peroxide doing a half arsed cleaning job--I really felt this was a bad thing. Was going to post a link but again--I feel to new at this to question methods yet--but this was very questionable.

so it will not kill the plants on the ground but it will kill the one on the roof?

Exactly what I was thinking...:yes4:

Not to mention blowing granuals off and taking years off of the life of that roof... I had a client the other day that had spoken with an ARMA rep before she called me. She seemed more anti-high pressure roof cleaning that I am.

I keep an ARMA doc and a GAF-Elk doc with me in my sales book, both clearly stating high pressure should never be used. I point out that to most potential clients and it really helps to inform them.
