Ever heard of this problem?

Today while softwashing a home we noticed that there was paint coming off of the window screen frame. The only chem we used was
some chlorine mixed with dawn dish soap around 10%. We have never had this problem before and have no idea what would or could cause this. Has anyone ever seen this? :confused:
 
If the paint was put over a wood frame that was not cleaned or prepped it will fail. Or a poor quality paint or highly oxidized paint will come off. If it was metal I would guess that the material had some flaws in the finish and allowed the alum to oxidize under it causing the finish to fail.
 
Sometimes people go the cheap route and use a whitewash on their last painting and the white wash will not hold up to the mix especially if its been a few years. I had this happen a few times and once on a double garage door. OMG!!! :eek: Ya wanna see someone panic??? :eek:
