Hahahahaha! :D Thats got to be the funniest thing I've read all day! Thanks, I needed that...:)

Who robs a guy who has a pressure washer in his hand? I believe the same as others have said here just get some nads and work. Just stand your ground and keep working and not worrying about some homeless or drunk who wants to bother you. If your scared to go into the neighborhood stay home. All the guys who carry guns while they work are paranoid and better be ready to explain to a jury why you were shooting a guy while holding a 3,000 psi stream of scolding hot water. I may be from California, but come on strapped while working, give me a break. Do you really think some one is really going to stake out the worker guy in the p/u. MAN UP GUYS AND LEAVE YOUR WEAPONS TO THE REAL HUNTING

Tell ya what, come to some of the little areas where we wash once or twice a month and tell me what you hear. We hear sometimes 5-10 shots a night in these areas.

What would you do when someone pulls up into the empty station your washing with no one else in sight? We have people pull up into our work areas and sit there watching us. Our local police force is purchasing boot leg CD's and DVD's on the other side of town or bothering some young kid that may have a joint or 2 on him. The local PD around my area is a joke and I have no problem saying I will protect myself, crew, and equipment. If that involves 2 12 gauges sitting on the trailer and a Derringer 410 in my coat then so be it

While on this subject Does anyone have the Glock 33 or has anyone toyed with one?

+1.
I have heard automatic weapons firing in broad daylight in downtown Jackson. Shots are common enough that they don't get called in unless someone gets hit. When I worked up there almost everyone in my office had been jacked at least once.
I had my little experience. I handled it myself and can confirm that the PD is a complete joke. It took them 45 minutes to respond- their HQ was on the next block.

SH*T happens to quickly for you to switch tips and spray him with a downstreamer wich takes a minute to pick up chemicals? Get real, if you dont carry a GUN that you can draw within seconds or at least a knife, you will find yourself in a bad situation!

I wasn't talking about changing tips, I was talking about having a spray bottle on you.

This is not saying that Jackson is the worst place in America but I would be willing to bet our police force is just as corrupt as any in the world.

We have a Cherrif in office
Chief of Police also is the Sheriff of the County Officers as well

Anyone that thinks the PU worker guy doesn't get robbed just has a different set of circumstances to deal with. I live in suburban area with a very low crime rate. But with the little commercial work we do it takes us into some very bad areas downtown. Every year a bunch of pizza delivery guys get robbed and a few get killed over $20-$30. The same with cab drivers.

I have a friend that owns a large HVAC business and he's had a number of employees robbed. One was shot. Another beat a robber with a conduit bender that was using a sharpened screwdriver to rob him. These thugs aren't all idiots they wait until you are getting into a vehicle or leaning over working on something. Some are just bums begging others are human predators that would kill you or your children for a rock. Working alone to me is a mistake.

If manning up means being unarmed I guess I'll never man up.

Last night in St Pete the dunkin donuts was involved in a stabbing, we were working across the street at Walgreens at 1am.

He decided to cross over to our side of the road with his knife in hand and screaming some SH*T in our direction, well i was totally prepared to face this threat with force, but 2 seconds later the cops were there and unarmed him with a show of guns and tazers.

This is how fast this kind of stuff happens, i would never pull a weapon if i know i can take care of it with my mouth or my hands first.

But if they are comming at me or my employee with a weapon, well all bet's are off.

Spoke to the cop today, he called me to let me know that i may be called as a witness that he had a knife and was making threating gestures towards us.

But the SWAT team takes their job seriously, don't they?

Manning up to me just means going on and doing it. If anyone here unarmed thinks they're a match for an armed crackhead they're just not thinking straight. If you feel the need to go armed because of your circumstances, go for it. Come home safely that night (morning) that's the main thing. Come home.

It's called Use of Force Continuum.

You never know for sure how you will react until it happens. Let's all hope we will be safe out there. Deach has it. It's about coming home safely.

It's not only the aggressive panhandlers, drunks, dopers, and occasional EDP (emotionally disturbed person), but what if a particular job involves removing gang tags?
March 16, 2009
Two gang members were sentenced to 21 years in state prison today after pleading no contest to the 2006 slaying of a Valinda man who tried to stop them from tagging.
Anthony Alex Castillo and Robert Alex Lopez, both 19, each pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter as part of street gang activity. Both men were not believed to have carried out the shooting. A third suspect died while the case was being investigated.
The 2006 killing of Robert Whitehead was one in a series of high-profile shootings involving tagging. Whitehead was killed after challenging young gang members he caught crossing out another gang's graffiti on a neighbor's garage.
The next year, in a separate incident, Pico Rivera grandmother Maria Hicks was gunned down after she honked her car horn, flashed her car lights and followed a tagger who had defaced a wall.
In the Whitehead case, Castillo was arrested in December 2007. Lopez was arrested two months later. Both were charged with murder and special allegations that the crimes took place using a gun and in furtherance of gang activity.

Sometimes neither "just man up" nor "talk your way out of it" will work. :(

But if you want to keep talking smack Little buddy, talk it to me in Atlanta, I will be happy to scare you to death....haha

And Russ did not even show up? Whats up with that??
