Hey all.

I ended up picking up a Sioux hot "pressure washer"/steam cleaner for really cheap. I say "pressure washer" because it is only a 500 psi pump direct driven off a .75 hp electric motor in front of a big oil burner.

I also have a 2700 psi pump/Honda engine combo pirated from a Home Depot special washer.

From pure measurements, it would be easy to make fit. I'm just bringing it to the pros here to make sure I'm not overlooking something brutally simple as I tend to sometimes do. Anything I should beware of?

In case you can't tell, I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible

You'll just need a generator or extension cord to power the burner and a flow switch, thermostat, and solenoid to control the fire. Depending on the original flow rate, you may also need to change the burner nozzle for proper heat.

Thanks Russ.

Any suggestions on burner jetting? It's rated at 145000 btu/hr presently and I'd like to go as hot as possible (needing ~250000 btu to maintain 150 deg rise since it's a 2.5 GPM pump). Hell, since it's already a steam rated coil, I'd love to still have that capability, but I don't expect too much!

I just pulled it--looks like it's already a 1.75.

Russ can you combine 2 - 8gpm pumps from one burner and not have temp. spikes? Say when you are using both guns and you stop using one. Would the other gun spike? I would want to maintain 100-120 with dual guns or a single at all times. Also the same burner hit 200 while running both guns.
