I ran across this thing at a surplus outlet for 2 bucks, it's a mini suction lifter, used to lift sheet metal and similar things. I wondered if it would work in places where there’s was nothing to clamp plastic to, or in place of duct tape. I know some of you duct tape plastic to the outside of the hood. This pic is not in actual use but you can see how you could clamp plastic to. As long as the surface is clean it stays in place. I have since used it to hold plastic and it works fine.

Ok now I have had a chance to use them

Here's my assessment

I put it on the front of the hood, where I would have normally used duct tape or clamped the plastic to the ceiling, (which in this case would have required a height adjustment devise)
It worked fine, stayed in place until I removed it.

On the end of the hood where I would have, used duct tape or poke it into the gap at the wall. Something that has always bothered me, because it tears up the caulking. In the picture there is no caulking but in most places there is.

I think it's time to start marketing those little suckers. You could sell them for $199.00 a box of 6 and retire on the profits. You might even call them, "Mountin' Suckers" in honor of WV. You'll be so rich you can hire someone to open your mail.
