Catchy phone numbers

We are putting an additional phone number in service in the next couple of days that will soon phase out our current number in the years to come. We will use them both for a year or so. Do any of you have catchy, simple phone numbers for your area? I have always been a fan of it and finally landed the one I have been after. I see Ron has 1-888-fleetwash, that's easy and catchy.

1-800-700-flue

I used to like them and have one myself, but now that I use a blackberry and the numbers and letters do not correspond I hate dialing them.

I can see where you are coming from. We will be putting 222-WASH in service soon and hope it works well for us. I have been after an easy to remember number for some time now.

834-3434. My wife use to work at the phone company. My kids also take orders for papa johns pizza at night, and then have a junk pizza company deliver most of what is ordered. They did that twice, before I stoppped it, but I have to admit, it was funny.

Hey Tim,

...Just curious---why are you changing, and to what number??

Yours seems like a good # to me....and it is established. Now you'll have to change all brochures, cards, vehicles, etc.

I agree with what Trey said, I use a BB, not sure about other pda's, but BB deosn['t have letters on the numbers.

I think you have something, 15 years ago I got way more calls. I dont fleetwash anymore.

I still use to get way more calls at random for truck cleaning.

I dont anymore....

From my stand point and I was looking at two numbers and one was letters and one was numbers I would call the guy with numbers first. Thats being said a catchy word can be remembered easier, however, is that really that important? Just a thought really, one of my numbers ends with WASH also, but I dont even use it that way just because its a pain for me to dial those numbers

I will always have my origanal number actually, it's a cell. I will be fowarding the new biz line to it so I can be reached on both. The number will read like this more than likely 222-WASH (9274).

I used to like the idea of tying in words or names with your phone number too, that's why the last four digits of one of my lines is 2866 (BUNN). Now that I have a Blackberry, I hate letters being in place of numbers.

Cells have changed us.

When we put in 877-5-SUPPLY we found it took a long time for the association to set in with our customers. We wondered why. When our service side was sold, the phone number went with it. BIG MISTAKE! What no one thought of was everyone imputs a number into the cell phone and no one ever thinks of it again unless they loose the phone. Try to remember a phone # you call often but is in your cell phone. Pretty tough isn't it? We even found that the toll free # didn't seem very important as we were still getting lots of calls on the local #. That's because of all the long distance deals the cell phone folks offer. Most don't worry about a long distance call because the cell phone doesn't charge. Not that a toll free # doesn't help; it does. And a word association with the number can help you be remembered. It just doesn't seem as important these days with the tech. we have. Just my $0.02.
