I'm not going to put a total number to it publicly. It wasn't because of staying away from the BBS, it was just putting into practice everything you told us about sales.
Some things I've learned:
1) College level marketing is outdated and practically worthless in this day and age.
2) Repetition is worth more than gold (I got two "yesses" this week from customers I've gotten "no's" from for more than 4 years - what's the differece? REPETITION!)
3) Making small talk WORKS! Shelly got us an account this week by discussing how good the spaghetti they were eating for lunch smelled. People like to be noticed as human beings!!!
4) People love notepads!!!!! AND 3 months worth of them are only about $500!
5) $75.00 for lunch is worth tens of thousands.
6) Cover up Tats and dress nice. It works! (sorry tat guys!)
7) ASK a current customer WHAT THEY LIKE and use it to your advantage in SELLING another customer!
There's a lot more. But that's enough to get started.
I can't thank you enough Ron. You have brought us from a mediocre sales force to a powerhouse. It doesn't have anything to do with limiting the board use. It's all sheer willpower.
Monday we spent most of the day with a filter manufacturer, took them to dinner, got home at 10pm, had to rewrite a powerpoint from scratch for a 7am presentation the next morning. Repeat that for 4 days and that's what we've been doing for 3 months.
One month like this out of every three will triple our income within the next 2 years.
Thanks again Ron.
