Wiz,
I have a 110v Farleys steam/pw that I am converting over to a heater only. Cleaned pump, diesel tank, replaced fuel lines, filter, pump and the intrnal filter ect.
The Wayne burner runs great but I only get a 65 degree rise in temp. The nozzle is a 1.25 gph. I will be running a 4 gpm machine through it. Purchased a 2.5 gph nozzle for the burner.
Installed it but I get heavy smoking. Tried adjusting the air band also. Removed nozzle and put in original. The coil seems to have some soot build up on it. Not sure if the coil needs descaled or not.
Should I check the Suntec pump psi? The pump is rated to 3.0 gph. The GE blower is rated at 1/7 hp. I plan on checking the stack temp to see if I am wasting a lot of heat(in excess of 150 F). Plan on adjusting the air bands again depending on stack temp. results. Should I try a 2.0 gph nozzle?
Also would it do any good to pull the coil and take it to a radiator shop for cleaning? The thought was it could be cleaned inside and out in one shot!
Any input would be appreciated!
P.S. Hot water is the way to clean!
