In 1988 the dial soap Corporation bought the exclusive rights to make and sell such home pantry staples as 20 - Mule Team all purpose cleaner, Borateem stain remover and Boraxo powered hand soap. At the time U.S. president Ronald Reagen, fondly remembered as the host of Death Valley Days once sponsored on TV by Borax.

In 1880 a vast deposit of borax, natures magic water softener and cleanser, is discovered in Death Valley, Calif. Soon teams of 20 mules are pulling 12 ton wagons across 165 miles of hot desert to the rail road. Today we market it as 20- mule team Borax. i think ill put a little in my house mix

Borax will keep the home cleaner longer, protecting it from Mildew re growth.
It will also help keeps Insects OFF the house.

It works great on roofs, but I have no idea how it will be to clean a house with ?
I would THINK the water softening action would reduce spotting on Windows ?

Let us know ?

your right about the insect thing Chris, i remember growing up in NY people had a cap full of Borax in the corners of thier kicthen cabinets to kill the roaches. But back then they also had a can of red devel lye under the sink, to clean with. Or to throw in someones face if they messed with you, i use to here the mothers say. tough neighborhood lol

In Detroit, we had squirt gun fights with Ammonia in them.

ok here it go"s, just added about a little more than 1/4 cup of Borax in a 5ver with the house mix. But also a good squeeze of cacade i learned from Russ, X- jet wide open, covered the windows like crap, it took off the Krudcutter that was on the windows for a week, took off the rest of the oxidation, on the siding, wiped my hand onthe siding hard, no residue, windows sparkel. had the jet turned open for the rinse but stood back a little.
