I have a question about bleach. i keep a 55 gallon barell of bleach on my trailer. sometimes i have bleach in 5 gallon bucket that is clear, after a few days the bleach will turn from yellow to clear. does the sun kill the bleach? i was thinking of putting all of my bleach in a clear barell but am now scared to. my 55 gallon is a blue barell. if anyone knows this please help

yes

sunlight kills bleach. Turns it into salt water.
Even if you stored in in a black drum SH [bleach] has a shelf life.
Allways buy your SH where they sell a lot of it. They rotate the bleach faster, keeping it the strongest.
Keep it in the blue barrell.
What are you useing that much bleach on?

I mostly wash houses. where can you buy large barells of bleach at. I get tired of opening gallon jugs. is it stronger in larger quantity

Household bleach is about 6% sodium hyperchlorite[SH] POOL CHLORINE IS 12% SH
you might find a co that supplies smaller pool co. or a large pool co. that will get you 55 gal. drums.
i either get pool chlorine in the 5 gal[that's equal to 10 gal household] or BJ'S for cases of bleach.
If you do carry your bleach or pool chlorine in that amount be carefull. If you dont have a chem. lic. and a plackard on your rig you could get a $10,000 fine. A fireman would need to know what he's in for if you were ever in an accident.
You might not be able to tell them.
p.s. i would'nt mess with the powered stuff unless i had a scale and a way to check the level of SH in the container. I am suprised no one has a formula to mix your own SH with the powder's.
