Billboards

So has anybody ever tried a billboard to advertise?? Especially with before and after pictures? If so what were the results and if I can be so bold what was the cost? We were quoted $600 to $800 per month depending on location. I know with some good before and after pics it would be an awesome sight, I'm just not sure if it would be worth the investment. Other than stroking my own already overinflated ego that is.

For the most part, around here billboards around here are only on the interstates. Only people that see them are the Yankees driving backing and forth from New York to Florida. Residental clients would not see it as they stay off the interstates. Commercial properties are run by local people who live local to the office they work in . They are not on the interstates either.

Dang Good Point!

We have boards on all the local roads. I just don't know. We can spend $800 on a home show with a weeks worth of ads on 1 radio station or same money on one board for a month. And Guy my ego has cost me more than I even want to think about. Then there's the money too. LOL.

I have always wanted a Billboard! That would be super cool even if you broke even every month it would be worth it just to drive by...

They are around 9000 a month by 101 & 202 , a painting contractor friend loves them.

Around here they usually come with at least a six month contract and off the interstate are about $400 a month. I would go with what Guy said put the money in the web and spend it toward someone working on your SEO.

I did tv commercials last month and I got a lot of jobs off it

I'm thinking about making the plunge, it's really cheap like $150 a month with lighted signs, in a great location. Don't see how I can go wrong on this one. Just need to make sure I get the right message across.

I thought about it about 8 years ago and the average was about $1500 per month and it was usually the large to huge companies and attorneys using them.

I called a few of those companies and asked them if they felt the billboards were working but they did not know. I am guessing they were not asking the people calling them where they found them or heard about them.

Probably with the right message it might do good.
