Big Paint Stripping Job

This was a job we did recently, which we had to come in behind some other "contractors" and do what they could not. The before pictures are their idea of a building wash and paint stripping. They were lucky to get one coat of paint off in a few spots here and there. As you can see we took all three layers off down to the block on about 90% of the building. The building owner actually had to pay the previous company. First day on the job turbo nozzle clogged and chipped a piece of the ceramic. Big thanks goes to Russ for getting a repair kit shipped out ASAP. No lift, used my trailer as scaffolding. Fun cleanup

Dont worry. When they apply the correct breathable coatings back on there with the right primers you will be back again to strip the paint. Most "Paint contractors" are only money getters because its sad to say the painting art is almost a lost treasure these days...

They were actually pressure washing contractors who did this poor of a job, sad to say. The owner of the building is having his maintance guy do the painting. They just had to hire someone to do the pressure washing before he goes through and paints it. The first guys oblivously didn't have the right equipment to get the job done right. He said they had scaffold set up all over the place and took them three days. Amazing what a differance having the right equipment for the job makes. I think it took longer to clean up then it did to strip the building.
