Best Expo Booths...

We just had a home and garden show here. I didn't have a booth but I went and did some great networking with some painting and restoration companies. There were several different types of setups. Anywhere from a table and pictures to complete home floorplans....

We have done shows over the years so our booth has "grown up" considerably. The one absolute thing that works for us is NEVER put the table between you and the potential customer. Put it to the side or at the back and get them in your space - out of the isle! Don't stand with your arms folded across your chest - implies you're closed off. I'm not saying to stand around flapping or hug folks, but keeps your arms relaxed by your side, ready to hand information or shake hands.

We have varying pictures of our booth in our user gallery - http://www.propowerwash.com/board/upload/album.php?albumid=11

Videos are excellent. Having a drawing announced also helps get people to your booth and helps you collect their info. It can be a drawing for a service you offer, a digital camera, or tickets to a local event.

Celeste has a great booth. Lets the customers see first hand what her company has to offer. She has some examples of their work as a part of the booth.

Oh yeah!.....Tony Szabo did the puppy thing last year and got TONS of traffic! Personally, a hot guy would bring me to a booth quicker than a pretty girl and generally the WIFE is the one that is going to look at the services!

I've seen guys with super glitzy booths do poorly and ones with basic stuff do tremendous business at shows. I'm sure you've seen the fancy displays with a guy in a chair reading the paper.

It's all about salesmanship and engaging in a conversation. The displays stop them and you must get them to listen. Almost nothing sells itself. Start with a question that requires a response with a flyer in your hand. If they ignore and refuse it go to the next one. A home show is no place for someone that can't handle rejection. And no chairs. Also every other vendor is a potential customer when it's slow go sell them.

I love the puppy idea.

We have done this three different times at shows. We donate the puppy to the association as a gift and then enter the dog as a raffel prize to win. One show we did, they sold over $2,000 in raffel tickets more in years past, because everyone was trying to win the puppy.

Sorry, I can't get the puppy pictures to upload.

Celeste isn't lying. She spend a whole weekend down here last year walking by our home show booth flirting with me.

I finally had to have security escort her off the property because she was taking all the free pens.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Puppy? You have a puppy in the booth as a giveaway?

Yes, at the booth, walk around the show, at the front sign in area, all you can think of. But, you just don't show up with a puppy to give away, you need to do your home work first. Puppies are a ton of work at a trade show, plan on two to three people to make your presents effictive.
Its not just bring a dog and get a bunch of "AHHH he's cute" you need to work the show in every angle. You start in advance by advertising before the show start's.

To much to post, maybe I should do a class?
